Pro Bono at the Public Defender's Office

Tomorrow I will be doing pro bono work for the Public Defender's office. I'm so excited about that. It's a great way to get experience and learn.

I'm So Blessed

Yesterday I got hired as a law clerk in a new firm and I'm so excited about it. It is an employment discrimination firm. My boss seems wonderful and I just love her daughters. Especially her younger one. She is wonderful but they both are.

Anyway, I am so thankful to God because when I left GT I thought I must be crazy. It's a wonderful firm and people would give their right arm to work there. But I hated it. I don't want to be a transactional lawyer and I don't want to represent people who screw other people over. I always on the wrong side of issues.

You know, I know that I am gong to be great. In fact, I'm already great. There is a path for me and I must follow it. I don't have a choice. My purpose is to lift people up. To give them hope. To defend those that others will not. I want to be rich, but real wealth comes from finding and fulfilling your purpose. I know what mine is. I just don't always know how I'm supposed to fulfill it.

Okay, to change subjects a little...I don't know if I should get into this. Don't know who's reading. But I've got some stuff ...never mind. Some things need to stay between me and God.

I'm just thankful today. I see great things ahead.

Today was a good day!

My son, Antonio, placed first place in all of his races today. He qualified for the state track and field competition which will be hosted in Kissimmee at the Disney Sports Complex. It was raining cats and dogs out there so I couldn't take pics but hopefully I'll have some from the State competition. I'm so proud of his accomplishment.
